Spiritual Growth

2 Peter 1:5-8 says “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness and to goodness, knowledge: and to knowledge, self-control, and to self-control, perseverance, and to perseverance, godliness: and to godliness, brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

The S in KIDS stands for Spiritual Growth and is the emphasis for our 5th and 6th graders. During these years we desire to teach students how to move deeper in their love and relationship with Jesus Christ.  We will supply our students with tools to grow the spiritual disciplines that are mentioned in 2 Peter 1:5-8 into habits that they keep for the rest of their lives. Our desire is that they not only know who Jesus is and what a relationship with Him looks like, but they yearn to build and grow this relationship.
